We know that people with developmental disabilities often times experience elevated rates of poverty and economic difficulties resulting in the lack of critical services and basic human necessities.
Sadly, due to current economic and budget crisis in California, the funding pools for such vital service has fallen drastically short from what is needed. Many programs have been severely reduced or cut completely.
The result of such program eliminations is radical and devastating to the community we serve. There is a glaring disparity between local Regional Centers in terms of what programs they support. It is our hope that we can help to ensure that all children are afforded the same opportunity for quality services.
The Wiley Center exists to traverse dreadfully needed services for the growing population of individuals in the Greater LA Area. We are committed to meeting the needs of these people in a real and tangible way but we can’t do it without your help. Please join us as we work together to improve such an glaring disparity in our community.
